Riding the highest tarmac roads in the world – what greater charity cycling challenge can there be?! This amazing tour is set in the beautiful Buddhist region of Ladakh, far up in the Indian Himalaya. We start our ride from the small town of Manali in the Himalayan foothills and cross no less than five Himalayan passes (including one over the Great Himalaya Range) to reach Leh, the capital of Ladakh and an old Silk Route yak staging post. Once in Leh we take a deep breath for the last challenge – a day ride up and down Khardung La (5353m) – the ‘highest motorable road in the world’! This is a fascinating ride through incredible scenery.
