Tue, 04/27/2010

On 27th April Jack McConnell MSP hosted an evening reception at the Scottish Parliament  in support of World Child Cancer. The event was well attended by over 70 people including local business leaders, MSP’s, doctors and nurses from Glasgow, Edinburgh and Aberdeen and community fundraising group leaders. World Child Cancer medical Trustee, Professor Tim Eden, spoke about the charity’s work in Africa, South America and South East Asia and the ability to cure about 50% of child cancers relatively simply and inexpensively, even within basic health systems. World Child Cancer would like to thank Jack McConnell for hosting the event and to everyone who showed their supporting by attending.
