 1) Two bottle wine chest - the perfect Christmas gift…£40.00 

…we’ve selected two bottles of stunning award-winning wine from Le Vigne di Cà Nova for this Christmas treat.  The first bottle is a superb Pinot Noir from the Langhe.  The award winning Acclivio 2008 is a lovely intense ruby red and on the nose there is the classic scent of rhubarb and red berries as well as hints of cinnamon and rosemary - the palate is rounded and structured - simply sumptuous with an elegant and full rich red fruit finish. The perfect Christmas wine! The second is a simply stunning Barbera d’Alba, the Bric de Maschi 2007.  It is a fantastic example of this great vintage for Barbera, with rich full black fruit on the nose combined with gentle spices, the palate is smooth, elegant and deliciously fruity although with enough body to enable this excellent wine, whilst drinking now, to age for at least another 7 to 10 years. Stunning! This award winning Barbera spends 15 months in French oak and a further year in bottle before release. Superb paired with duck or lamb.  All wrapped up in a beautifully crafted wooden chest with background, tasting and serving notes.

…start your Christmas morning with a glass of this amazing vintage sparkling from the Langhe, Rocche dei Manzoni’s Valentino Brut Zero 2002, then for the celebratory feast, two great wines, one stunning white -  L'Angelica 2006, full bodied, rounded and elegant, or a delicious Pinot Noir, Acclivio 2008, fresh wonderfully fruity and elegant, which would complement the turkey perfectly.   You may wish to tuck into a morsel of Stilton - to accompany the cheese we have selected two fantastic Barolos from Giacomo Brezza, one of the best of the traditional producers in the Langhe, their Barolo Sarmassa 2000 or Castellero 2001 - both truly excellent vintages.   Finally, as early evening descends, perhaps a dessert wine, perfectly named 'Remember' an unctuous sweet wine with a palate of dried fruit, honey - a fitting finish to a memorable day...
