Our Story

Childhood cancer is curable yet 4 out of 5 children with cancer in developing countries die from the disease. Every year approximately 250,000 children and teenagers are diagnosed with cancer around the world. In developed countries children have a 75% chance of survival thanks to huge advances in treatment over the last 30 years. However, in low to middle income countries typically less than 20% of children survive. Childhood cancer is a curable disease yet 100,000 children die needlessly every year because of lack of treatment - most without the pain relief of palliative care.
