In 2017, Geeta Nanda (CEO, MTVH) and Mark Everard (Executive Director of Property, MTVH) raised well over £100,000 and that money is already improving the chances of surviving cancer for many children in Cameroon. They were both keen to carry on supporting World Child Cancer and have decided to continue their fundraising efforts in 2018 and raise another £100,000 which will fund essential treatment and care across all the programmes.
In December 2018, Geeta and Mark hosted their annual Christmas Quiz at the Alice Pub with a record breaking 350 people attending. Everyone was competing for the sought after Ambassadors Cup but the winning team was MTVH. It was their most successful quiz to date raising an outstanding £19,000.
In April 2018, Geeta and Mark led a 15-strong team to the peak of the Atlas Mountains, 4,167 metres to the top of Mount Jebel Toubkal. The group of senior executives from the housing sector completed the challenge whilst raising £82,000 to support children with cancer along the way.
They also hosted their annual Christmas quiz at the Alice pub and raised an incredible £10,538.50, of which £1,638.50 was made from the raffle. As part of our Stop The Childhood Cancer Clock Appeal this amount will be matched by the UK Government, and will go even further in supporting children with cancer, and their families in the developing world. Thank you to everyone that took part, including the losing team 'Billy No Mates' who took home the wooden spoon, and 'Metroquizzical' who came first and won the winners trophy. We are delighted to acknowledge the valued support of A D Construction Group who sponsored the quiz! We would also like to thank Hawksmoor, Silent Pool Gin, B-Bakery and England Rugby for their kind donations to the raffle.
