We welcome any opportunity to partner with individual Rotary Clubs, Inner Wheel Clubs or Lions Clubs, and we would be delighted to be put forward as your International Charity of the Year. If you are interested in finding out more about World Child Cancer, we have a fantastic network of speakers who are available to attend club meetings.
World Child Cancer was chosen as Inner Wheel's District 18 Charity of the Year for 2017-18. Thank you to the 26 individual clubs who raised over £3,000 which is fantastic. That amount could pay for essential ward equipment in Malawi for one year.
The Rotary Club of Morden welcomed Community and Events Manger, Lisa Fernandes to their weekly club meeting to find out about the great work that World Child Cancer does to support children with cancer in the developing world. Thank you to President Margaret Sinclair (pictured right) for presenting Lisa with a very generous donation of £200, which could pay for one round of chemotherapy for four children in Ghana.
The Rotary Club of Northwick Park recently welcomed our Volunteer Speaker, Paul Trendall, who gave the Club an insight into the difference that World Child Cancer makes to children with cancer, and their families, in the developing world. Read the write up of this talk here. We would like to thank the members of Northwick Park for their generous donation of £50, which could pay for a round of life-saving chemotherapy for a child in Ghana.
We would also like to say a very special thank you to the Rotary Club of Kenilworth for their ongoing support to World Child Cancer over the past three years. Read about how they have helped to make a difference here.
World Child Cancer attended RIBI's Annual Conference in Torquay in April 2018 and had a stand in the Community Showcase Exhibition.
