The programmes team at World Child Cancer UK are seeking a Programme Intern to support them with administration and logistics, whilst gaining valuable experience working in a friendly team for an international development charity. World Child Cancer UK has the vision that every child with cancer has equal access to the best treatment and care. Our mission is to improve diagnosis, treatment and support for children with cancer, and their families, in low- and middle-income countries.
Hours: 3 days per week
Duration: At least 4 months, up to 6 months
Benefits: Transport reimbursed within London zones 1-5, £5 provided for lunch every working day
Reporting to: Project Manager
Closing Date: 24th June
Key responsibilities include organising logistics for programme visits, liasing with healthcare volunteers visiting programmes for training purposes and supporting the programmes team with administration and programme management activities. As World Child Cancer is a small charity, every intern will gain a good understanding of our programmes and all elements of the charity. The ideal candidate will have a proven interest in international development or health systems, be a fast learner, possess good attention to detail and have some office administration experience.
