Over 200,000 children develop cancer each year, that’s over 500 children a day with the majority of these children living in low and middle income countries.
In the high income world, medical advances in the last fifty years mean that 80% of children with cancer will now survive; in the low and middle income world the story is very different and survival rates are as low as 10%.
The reality is that thousands of children are dying each year or suffering unnecessarily, when they could be treated or cured. In many cases the treatment a child needs is relatively simple and inexpensive. You really can make a difference to the lives of the children and the families that we work with across our programme countries.
Help us to even the odds for children with cancer in the low and middle income world by signing up to one of our challenge events this year whether it is the Prudential Ride 100, Tough Mudder, Royal Parks Half Marathon or if you are an adrenaline junkie why not do something different and abseil of one of the tallest building in London, Broadgate Tower.
